Modern genomic technologies have become one of the important tools in diagnosis and guidance in symptoms management. The same technologies are commonly applied in identifying micro-organisms and viruses that further dictate specific therapeutic management or personal medicine. The personal medicine has become the future directions in health strategies and genomic technologies is an important tool applied in this new era. One of the examples is to use such advanced technologies to predict the risks for post-traumatic stress disorder and identify infection of tuberculosis. In nursing study, a number of modern genomic technologies have been discussed with the working principles and their clinical applications. Therefore, a mobile app is proposed to facilitate the studying of such technologies in virtual reality environment. This interactive app A-V-E-N-GE-R: A Virtual rEality game for Nursing study in GEnomics Research is aimed to describe and explain the knowledge on clinical genomics via VR games and further motivate the self-learning among health sciences students.
